On my way home from work I noticed the council traffic counters at St Marys Church Rodbourne Cheney what is the point? There are many more cars traveling this route rather than Akers Way while the works are being completed outside Hreod Parkway School and the temporary traffic lights.

Come to think of it what is the point of traffic counts anyway? For the past 20 years I've seen them on many occasions on Great Western Way, what does the council do with these anorak statistics? the roads around town have not improved any over that time

Should the council try something different change Bruce Street bridges into one big roundabout, give the left hand lane from Cheney Manor Road continuous priority into the inside lane onto Great Western Way.
