I'll let you make up your own mind on this story of the stones, 7 trucks were used transport them for the round trip of 180 miles taking over 30 years cost of at £360,000!!
For what? how good will they look in our modern town.
I wonder what else has been recently destroyed in the town centre, the old police station, the fine example of a garage on the opposite corner, an old english post office & shortly the tented market. In a few years time will surely wish to recreate them, I just hope they haven't lost the plans and the bricks.
What other treasures have we destroyed recently that should be rebuilt in years to come, I look forward to your comments.
