Road to somewhere but BUSES ONLY

This is an update to my blog of 23 March "road to nowhere" I was hopeful this road, nay avenue would be opening after the massive expenditure on it over the last 10 years or so.

I was very pleased to see  the concrete blocks have been moved.

BUT.

the sign says it is a Private Road for Buses ONLY does the driver have to stop move the sign and pass through and put the sign back or will they go round the island the wrong way.

Did Thamesdown Transport pay to build this superb tree lined Avenue? 

Are they going to be running so many buses that they need this wide avenue?

The number of buses on this route look to be so great that pedestrians/horseriders using the bridleway need a central safety island  to cross the road!!

Please see the recent Advertiser article I certainly won't have our council slagged off about the state of our streets.  This road has been kept in exemplary manner and in pristine condition unused for many years!!!
